We will study the Asia (We will learn about the diversity of this super continent and study ancient civilizations to modern societies.) and South America (We explore the vibrant blend of cultures, nature, and history, significantly enriching global diversity.).  

Instructor: Summer MacDonald is a veteran homeschooler who taught her three children until they were ages 12, 15, and 17. One of the highlights of their homeschooling experience was taking the A Whole New World History course through Woke Homeschooling when it first launched in 2020. Not only did her children learn a lot – but so did she! They did all of the weekly assignments together, and she would eavesdrop on their discussions for the live class on Fridays. 

A little bit about her: She has a Bachelors of Science in Sociology from Wayne State University in Detroit. She also minored in music education. To pay her way through her college years, she taught piano lessons for all ages and tutored middle school children in whatever subject matter they needed help with. After she had children, she volunteered with a Forest School in Toronto for four years helping to facilitate exploration and learning for children in preschool and elementary grades.  

Within my homeschool life I taught science, social studies, and language arts at three different parent-directed homeschool co-ops..  

I live in Canada where I am a farmer and beekeeper who does catering and marketing in the off-season.
